Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

These terms govern your use of AdsEngine — the web application at app.ads-engine.net and the AdsEngine add-on for Google Sheets (together, "the Service") — operated by New Effect ("we", "us"), a company based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

AdsEngine connects to advertising platforms you authorise (such as Meta Ads and Google Ads), syncs performance metrics, and produces summaries, anomaly reports, dashboards and spreadsheet reports. Access to connected platforms is read-only: the Service does not create, modify or publish ads and does not spend your advertising budget.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be authorised to connect any ad account you connect.

3. Trials, fees and billing

New accounts may receive a free trial with a usage allowance. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a subscription basis. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or overload the Service, attempt to access data belonging to others, resell the Service without our written agreement, use it to violate any law or the terms of a connected platform, or reverse engineer any part of it except as permitted by law.

5. Third-party platforms

Your use of Meta, Google and Stripe remains governed by their own terms. The Service depends on these platforms' APIs; we are not responsible for changes, outages or restrictions they impose.

6. Your data

You retain all rights to your advertising data and spreadsheet content. You grant us the licence needed to process that data to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

We own the Service and everything in it except your data. Reports and summaries generated for you are yours to use freely.

8. Analytical output

Summaries, anomaly explanations and recommendations are automated analytical aids, not professional advice. Advertising decisions, and their results, remain your responsibility.

9. Availability and disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. Sections 6–12 survive termination.

12. General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; we will post changes here and announce material changes in the application.
